MACHINE OPERATORS

QKR Namibia Navachab Gold Mine, situated in Karibib, seeks to appoint suitably experienced and qualified Machine Operators. The candidates will be responsible for operation of relevant mining equipment/machinery, provision of flexibility to mining operations in the pit as per production targets, and operational requirements. The position reports to the Foreman/ Supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct preparation and start-up inspections.
• Identify issues that can impact directly on productivity.
• Operate relevant machine/equipment for specific tasks as required or requested by the Foreman.
• Continuously check area and environment for safe operations.
• Submit paperwork to all relevant stakeholders as required.
• Provide detailed information on the condition of the machinery.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification with three (3) years’ experience as a Machine Operator OR
• Grade 10 or ability to read and write with six (6) years’ experience as a Machine Operator.
• Valid code B driver’s license.
• Applicants must have experience and proven competency to operate a (120t – 200t) Excavator, a (70t) Track Dozer, a (1 OOt Rigid Dump Truck) and a (60t -10Ot) Wheel Loader.
