Logistics & Material Coordinator -Luderitz 540 views

Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the overall logistics operations (including but not limited to Yard, Warehouse, Quay, Transportation, Lifting and HSE matters).

Responsibilities and duties:

• Provide logistics support by appointing appropriate resources (trailers trucks, cranes, forklifts, handling personnel etc.)
• Logistics Coordinator appoints the right CCUs at any given time and works in close collaboration Site Lifting Supervisor (CCUs QC checks)
• In charge of Logistical resources planning and scheduling by establishing daily, weekly resource schedules and prioritizing task
• Transportation and lifting appliance management
• Perform daily / weekly / pre use and inspection check and report any non-compliance
• Promote and implement driving policy
• Dispatch the daily land transport spread by meeting schedule expectation, safety standard, considering roads and weather constraints
• Maintain records and statistics to ensure accurate reporting, follow-up KPI and Implement adapted corrective actions
• Contribute to annual budgeting preparation, liaise with Cost Control and optimize transports costs.
• Coordinate all site bunkering and fluid transfers requirements (water supply, diesel, vessel fuel) either from shore or between units on site
• Monitor safety statistics, and initiate improvement plans. Ensure that all incidents and anomalies ore properly reported
• Take part in incident investigation when needed and implement corrective action.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Strong educational background
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with a deep emotional stability and an ability to interact with different interlocutors
• Be at ease in international and complex environments
• Strong leader, able to communicate a vision and mobilize logistics teams in an international context
• At least 5 years in safe road transport management and planning, lifting appliances, drilling equipment transport and importation, technical understanding of truck mechanics, Transport (ADR / DOT)
• English language
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
