Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production teams to safely execute load and hauling activities.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety requirements and statutory regulations.
• Execute production plans and schedules to achieve operational targets.
• Monitor equipment utilisation and ensure compliance with operational SOPs.
• Motivate, mentor and develop team members to achieve high performance.
• Manage the efficient use of resources, including fuel, water and tyres.
• Conduct workplace inspections, identify hazards and investigate incidents.
• Compile shift reports and manage operational administration requirements.

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate (20 point minimum) or higher
• Valid Code B driver’s license
• Open Pit Blasting Ticket will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a mining environment
• Competency certificates for Excavator and Dozer operations required
• Experience in load and haul operations will be advantageous
• Strong leadership and people management abilities
• Effective communication and decision-making skills
• General open pit mining knowledge
• Good understanding of safety, production and equipment management practices
• Ability to manage teams and achieve production targets in a fast-paced mining environment
