Legal Secretary / Personal Assistant
Duties & Responsibilities:
Transcribe tape dictation for the drafting of various legal documents, general correspondence and documents on behalf of Legal Practitioner
Produce documents written in the English language using proper sentence structure, punctuation, grammar and spelling
Ad-hoc duties associated with assisting Legal Practitioners that practice litigation
Planning and booking appointment, booking of court dates and hearings
Billing/capturing all fees on legalsuite
Create invoices, process receipts on legalsuite and ensure timeous payment/collection of outstanding invoices/fees
Including but not limited to Magistrate Court, High Court and the office of the labour commissioner
Drafting emails, letters, pleadings, and notices
Taking & typing Dictations
Filing of documents on E-Justice
Liaising with and responding to clients
Required Experience:
Grade12
Minimum of 5 years’ experience
Previous experience in High Court civil litigation and labour
Fluent in in English and Afrikaans
Proficiency in Legalsuite & E-Justice
