Job opportunity: Legal, Risk & Compliance Officer

Location: Windhoek
Reporting to: Legal Risk and Compliance Manager

Purpose of the job

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to provide support across compliance, legal, risk, governance, and company secretarial functions. The role includes assisting with compliance monitoring, regulatory filings, contract administration, risk reporting, data protection, and policy management. You will also support governance processes, training, and cross-functional
coordination to ensure adherence to legislation and internal frameworks.

Qualifications and experience

• Relevant degree or diploma in Law, Compliance, Risk, or related field
• Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in legal, compliance, or risk environment

(Asset management/ financial services preferred).

Key focus areas

• Support compliance and regulatory obligations, including monitoring plans, filings, and inspections.
• Maintain legal and contract registers, assist with agreements, and support litigation processes.
• Assist in risk management through incident logging, control testing, and enterprise risk reporting.
• Co-ordinate governance and company secretarial duties, including board packs, minutes, and statutory records
• Drive policy management, data protection, training, and ethical culture initiatives across the business.
