Laboratory Technician | Rossing uranium CNNC

A vacancy exists for a Laboratory Technician at the laboratory within the processing department. The successful candidate will be required to have an in-depth knowledge in all preparations and analysis work carried in the laboratories. He/she will be required to contribute to the safe and continuous operations of the laboratories by performing specific sampling of plant samples, analysis, applying, the quality control systems and performing day to day work to produce accurate results to operations. He/she will be required to work shifts from time to time.

• Carrying out sample collection and preparations and inspection of sampling equipment
• Carrying out analysis and test work for mining and process samples
• Carrying out basic maintenance and calibrations of equipments
• Evaluating and reporting results
• fulfilling her/his duties as part of the team
• Carrying out operational requirements

minimum requirements

• Grade 12 with Maths or Science with 20 points and an E-symbol in English
• National Diploma in chemistry will be an added advantage
• Three years experience in a mining/ chemical laboratory operations
• Valid code BE driver’s license
