Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 customer environments across multiple tenants.
- Manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
- Manage Microsoft Entra ID identities, users, groups, roles, authentication, and access controls.
- Configure and maintain Microsoft Intune and cloud-based endpoint management environments.
- Implement and manage Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and related identity and access management controls.
- Administer Microsoft 365 licensing and assist with the technical assessment and optimisation of customer licensing requirements.
- Manage Microsoft 365 tenant configurations, policies, domains, and service settings.
- Perform Microsoft 365 migrations, tenant changes, and customer onboarding activities.
- Troubleshoot complex Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, identity, authentication, and endpoint management issues.
- Monitor Microsoft cloud environments and proactively identify configuration, security, capacity, and service risks.
- Maintain technical documentation, customer tenant records, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
- Implement and maintain Microsoft 365 backup and recovery solutions.
- Assist with the standardisation and automation of Microsoft 365 administration across Acunam’s customer base.
- Use PowerShell and other appropriate tools to automate administration, reporting, and repetitive technical tasks.
- Act as an escalation point for Microsoft 365 technical issues.
- Work closely with Acunam’s Managed Security team to improve Microsoft 365 security posture across customer environments.
- Assist with Microsoft Defender, identity protection, email security, endpoint security, and other Microsoft cloud security technologies where appropriate.
- Support Microsoft Secure Score and similar security assessment and improvement initiatives.
- Assist in identifying configuration and security improvements within existing customer environments.
- Work with Acunam’s technical teams to develop and maintain Microsoft 365 technical standards and best practices.
- Assist with Microsoft-related projects, migrations, deployments, and service improvements.
- Work with Acunam’s commercial and solutions teams where technical input is required for customer opportunities and solution design.
- Participate in technical customer engagements where appropriate.
- Assist in transitioning new Microsoft 365 customers and solutions from pre-sales into implementation and ongoing managed support.
- Maintain and develop relevant Microsoft certifications and technical competencies.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance and emergency support activities where required.
Requirements
- Namibian citizenship.
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English; Afrikaans will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical issues.
- Ability to manage multiple customer environments and competing technical priorities.
- Ability to communicate technical issues and recommendations clearly to customers and colleagues.
- Strong documentation and organisational skills.
- Willingness to continually learn and develop as Microsoft’s cloud and security platforms evolve.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness to participate in after-hours support and planned maintenance where required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ practical Microsoft 365 administration experience, preferably supporting multiple customer environments.
- Strong practical experience administering Exchange Online.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID, including identity management, MFA, and Conditional Access.
- Practical experience administering Microsoft Intune and endpoint management environments.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive administration.
- Practical experience administering Microsoft 365 users, groups, roles, licensing, domains, and tenant configurations.
- Experience troubleshooting complex Microsoft 365 authentication, email, collaboration, and endpoint issues.
- Practical experience with PowerShell, particularly for Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and Entra ID administration.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 migrations and customer onboarding will be highly advantageous.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 in an MSP or multi-tenant environment will be highly advantageous.
- Good understanding of Microsoft cloud security principles and best practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender technologies will be highly advantageous.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, or related Microsoft security technologies will be advantageous.
- Experience implementing and managing Microsoft 365 security controls, Conditional Access policies, and identity security measures will be highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Secure Score and security posture management will be advantageous.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 backup solutions will be advantageous.
- Microsoft Azure administration experience will be advantageous.
- Experience with Azure networking, virtual machines, storage, or other Azure services will be advantageous.
- Experience with automation and scripting will be highly advantageous.
