Background:

Namibian NGO working in urban settlements on human and community development is seeking a n experienced Knowledge Management and Monitoring Specialist to join our dynamic team. The NGO works on land and housing, sanitation, and early childhood development. The NGO is growing quickly, including with new offices in other southern African countries.

The role:

The Knowledge Management and Monitoring Specialist will be expected to coordinate and manage the NGOs information generated, coordinate the knowledge products, establish and/or refine data collection and M&E processes, develop, and manage data systems including GIS systems, and develop impact reports, partner reports and proposals.

Requirements:

⦁ Master’s degree in data science, statistics, development studies, political science, or a similar field.
⦁ Extensive experience in data collection, management, and use, including primary data collection, field monitoring, conduction of evaluations, and impact assessments.
⦁ 10 years of experience in development.
⦁ Experience working across different southern African countries and contexts.
⦁ Extensive experience working with MS Excel, PowerBI, Kobotool box, ARC-GIS, SPSS or similar.
⦁ Experience working in international NGOs and with a range of large donors, private sector, and NGO partners.
⦁ Experience in developing donor reports for the UN, EU, GIZ, KfW or similar international development partners. Fluency in English is essential and proficiency in other languages is a benefit.
⦁ Experience in running development projects.
⦁ Experience in managing a team.
