Uis Tin Mining Company Pty Ltd an equal opportunity employer, situated in the Erongo region, hereby invites competent & suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Junior Surveyor. This position reports to the Surveyor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining the spatial information and data sets of the mine.
• Performing pit design set outs including ore loading block activities.
• Survey and maintain all control networks on site.
• Do end of month survey pick-ups and mined volume reporting.
• Conducting precise engineering surveys.
• Checking adjustment of instruments.
• Monitoring condition of haul roads and ramps.
• Performs survey related administrative duties, to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of
operations in area of responsibility.
• Generating drill and blasting/loading plans.
• Producing weekly, monthly pit plans and update surface maps.
• Liaises with , colleagues, and subordinates to ensure effective and efficient operations in area of responsibility.
• Supervise Survey Field Assistants.
• Adheres to all laid down SHEQ related standards, practices, policies, procedures, rules, and
regulations.

Key Requirements:

• National Diploma Land Surveying, Degree in Geomatics or Advanced Mine Surveying Certificate.
• 2 – 5 years’ experience in mine surveying environment.
• Experience with survey equipment, Especially DGPS, Total Station
• Survey Drone experience will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Mine survey software, MicroStation, Micromine and Trimble Business Centre.
• Sound working knowledge of applicable surveying methods for open cast mining.
• Computer literacy in MS Office, CAD Software.
• SHEQ training courses.
• Valid code BE driver’s license.
• Being vaccinated against COVID 19 will be an added advantage.
