Namib Poultry (Pty) Ltd is a fully integrated broiler production operation established in 2012 and situated 30 km north of Windhoek on the A1 Highway on the farm Klein Okapuka. Namib Poultry (Pty) Ltd is an equal opportunity employer with the following vacancy available at our state-of-the-art Processing Plant. Interested and suitably qualified candidates as well as candidates from the designated groups are invited to apply.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To consult, diagnoses and treat the sick employees of the company as well as attend to emergencies. To assist in occupational testing of the employees of the Company. Stock control. Statistics.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide medical support to all employees.
Help and treat all emergencies that may occur
Help with the completion of IOD papers.
Arrange transport by ambulance for all serious IOD and medical cases General examination of all sick employees, diagnose and treatment - Record keeping of all employee diagnoses and treatment.
Keep detail record in employees file of diagnoses made and treatment plans Referral of employees with chronic medical problems - Ad Hoc
Performing of additional work-related tasks as and when required by Management.
Always perform to the best of your ability and according to company standards and procedures - Dispensing of medication
Comply to all MOHS legislation
Comply to Company procedures and policies - Controlling of stock
Placing medication orders if required.
Record all usage of medication/stock, monthly stock take
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 (NQF 2)
• Bachelor- Degree or Diploma in Comprehensive Nursing and Midwifery Science.
• Community nursing qualification will be advantageous.
• Post graduate qualification in Pharmacotherapy will be highly advantageous.
• At least +/- Two (2) years’ experience in a health care facility.
• Proof of current registration with HPCNA.
• Computer literate with a good mastering of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Namibian Citizen OR eligible to become a Namibian citizen.
• Proficient in English, being bilingual will be advantageous.
• Must be able to work- day/night shifts, weekends, overtime and on public holidays. - Valid Code BE drivers’ license.
