VACANCY 

Key Performance Areas

• Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects immediately.

• Receive goods for pickup and delivery, ensuring all listed items are correctly handled.

• Complete collection notes for collected goods, making sure all accompanying documents are submitted to the office.

• Diligently complete MDC register/trip sheets, submitting them on time for calculation and payment.

• Ensure safe and secure handling, loading, and off-loading of consignments.

• Be present during loading, report any damage or anomalies to the Supervisor/Manager before departure.

• Operate a hiab as requested.

• Execute safe loading/unloading/moving of goods with a forklift.

• Ensure safe and secure transport of freight.

• Collect/deliver consignments in designated areas, ensuring all required documents are obtained from the customer.

• Adhere to policies for refueling, handling fuel cards, petty cash, etc., as per company policy.

• Comply with company and client health and safety regulations.

• Keep the truck and cab clean and neat at all times.

• Properly handle and load all fragile/high-value consignments.

• Perform additional the duties as reasonably requested for a Junior Driver/Freight Handler.

Candidate Requirements

• Namibian citizenship.

• Valid Code C driver’s license (Code CE and HAZCHEM certification are advantages) and valid PDP (Dangerous Goods).

• Valid forklift operator’s card.

• Relevant experience in the transport industry.

• Excellent driving, interpersonal, and communication skills (English & Afrikaans).

• Attention to detail.

• Sober habits.

• Ability to take initiative and make decisions.

• Valid Code of Conduct (Police Clearance Certificate) no older than 3 months.
