Introduction
We want to recruit a junior buyer for one of our clients who will help the business with purchasing decisions and processes. The junior buyer will play a role in all the different stages involved in bringing merchandise to shelves for consumers to purchase.
Job Functions Sales and Administration

Specification
Exceptional communication and people skills – must have the “raw materials” and “attitude” to become negotiator/dealmaker.
Analytical/quantitative ability – must have had mathematics up to grade 12, preferably higher grade/standard.
Must be able to grasp and learn “retail math” concepts like stock turn rates, gross margin returns on inventory investment, forecasting, etc
Ambitious – must be willing to work hard to become part of senior position /leadership in 3-5 years à someone that can grow with the company.

Requirements

· Matric/Grade 12
· Personal accountability and commitment

· A positive “can-do” attitude

· Excellent problem-solving skills.

· Ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure.

· Able to accept responsibility and be accountable for work standards.

· Outcomes-orientated, not simply task-orientated

. Excel skills – nice to have but person must be prepared and willing to learn to become an advanced user of excel —must be able to learn/understand the more advanced formulas such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFs, etc

. Language skills

English –excellent written skills
Afrikaans – conversation level
