Purpose of Position
The main focus of this position is to test semantics on the policy administration system and handling of internal system related queries. This includes but is not limited to doing root cause analysis of errors reported on the system and detailed analysis of values calculated on the system. This position is also responsible system testing (both new developments, and maintenance of existing business rules) and forms part of the internal testing team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Testing the impact of system development on product rules and calculated system values
• Providing operational support to business for system related queries
• Affluent commission calculation and payment file reviews
• Assessing and answering commission related queries
• Adhoc queries from business
• Assist other departments in Sanlam where specialist system knowledge is required
Additional requirements:
• Highly developed mathematical skills are required, with basic accounting knowledge
Qualifications & Experience
- BCom/BSc Actuarial Science qualification
- Experience in the Life Insurance industry would be an added advantage

- Processing transactions and conduct simple calculations
- Record keeping; filing and maintenance of databases

- Data Collection and processing of transactions
