EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

• Bachelor’s degree [NQA Level 7] in Journalism, media studies, communication or related field

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

News gathering:
Attend press conferences, events, and meetings to collect information.
• Conduct interviews with sources relevant to news stories.
• Monitor and identify emerging newsworthy issues or leads.
Writing and reporting:
Draft news articles, briefs, and feature stories under the guidance of editors and senior journalists.
Ensure accuracy, objectivity and fairness in reporting.
Adapt writing style to suit print, digital, and/or broadcast formats.
Verify facts, cross-check data, and cite reliable sources.
Assist in capturing photos or short videos for stories. Prepare content for social media or online publication.
Editorial Support:
• Collaborate with editors and senior journalists on assignments.
• Participate in newsroom meetings and planning sessions
