IT PROJECT MANAGER – DRA Projects

VACANCY 

DRA Projects is seeking a detail-driven IT Project Manager to be located in Namibia. This role is offered on a Limited Duration Contract.

The role is responsible for planning, implementing, and tracking IT programs/ projects to ensure delivery within budget, scope, and timelines. It involves managing cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, aligning project goals with business objectives, and applying business analytics to develop models, requirements, and effective solutions.

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Plan, lead, and execute IT programs/projects by defining scope, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards.

• Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies while maintaining accurate project documentation, including charters, plans, reports, and budgets.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into effective software models and representations, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.

• Drive continuous improvement by monitoring costs, tracking variances, ensuring quality standards, and fostering innovation to achieve intended project outcomes and benefits.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Education & Training: Senior Certificate/High School Diploma (Essential); Business Analytics Training (Essential); Project Management Qualification (Prince2, SAFe Agile, PMP etc.) and Tertiary IT Qualification (Advantageous).

• Experience: 4+ years in IT or PMO within medium to large organisations (Essential); 4 years managing IT project implementations (Essential); 4 years in Business Requirements Gathering & Process Mapping (Essential); 5+ years exposure to high-performance PMO tools (Advantageous).

• Knowledge & Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office technologies (PowerPoint, Teams, Excel etc. – Essential), and Microsoft Project (Essential).

• Overall Profile: Strong IT project management and PMO experience, combining business analysis expertise with structured methodologies, tools, and compliance standards.
