Opportunity | Duty Description

An opportunity exists for interested and qualified candidates to apply for the mentioned position at Namib Mills (Pty) Ltd in Windhoek.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Provide objective and independent assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve
the Company’s sustainable performance in the areas of operations, risk management, internal controls,
financial reporting, and government processes.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform the planned and allocated sections with professional competence and due care.
• Ensure that the working papers and audit report is accurate, complete and according to standard with
the required quality measures.
• Recommend practical or mitigating controls that Management can implement in the audit report.
• For the assignment an opening, progress and close out meeting should be held with the required
employees.
• Clearly understand the objective and risk of the assignment before entering or performing the
assignment, obtain data like sections in the Act if applicable.
• Recommend practical or mitigating controls that management can implement in the audit report.
• Final written communication need to be issued with the results of the assignment in due time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• A tertiary qualification: BComm Accounting Degree and the individual must have completed articles at
an accredited institution.
• At least 3-5 years experience in external/internal audit (job-specific knowledge).
• Valid Namibian driver’s license.
• Namibian citizen.
