DESCRIPTION

• To add value and improve an organization’s operations by helping to accomplish its objectives in bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.
• To provide assurance that internal controls in place are adequate to mitigate the risks, governance processes are effective and efficient and organizational goals and objectives are met.

Responsibilities
• Evaluating design & effectiveness of the compliance function
• Auditing of management areas to evaluate internal control system
• Follow-up on significant and critical findings from previous audit
• Assist in the review of internal administrative & accounting controls to safeguard resources
• Evaluate and ensure compliance with laws & regulations
• Assist in the manual & automated system design as an advisor on internal controls
• Assist in identifying red flags for investigating of potential fraud
• Recommendations for controls weakness to prevent or detect possible loss from occurring
• Assist in providing guidance to departments & employees on policies & procedures
• Assist in monitoring high-risk .

Inherent qualities, Knowledge and Skills:
• 2 to 5 years Internal Audit experience
• Understanding of professional practice framework for Internal Auditors.
• No criminal or ITC record
• Good understanding of corporate governance, ethics, and integrity

Qualifications:
• Three (3) year Internal Audit, Accounting & Finance or Risk Management qualification
• Member of IIA Namibia/South Africa would be an advantage.
