INTERNAL AUDITOR
JOB GRADE: D1
LOCATION: WINDHOEK

 

 

Purpose of the Job

 

 

To execute internal audit functions, including the review of business processes, identifying risks, testing controls to mitigate the risks, recommending appropriate actions, and tracking implementation. This will include extensive interaction with various business units and diverse internal stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

 

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or related field.

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or equivalent professional certification (advantageous).

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in internal auditing, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG.

• Strong understanding of risk management, internal controls, and corporate governance frameworks.

Key Performance Areas

 

 

Audit Planning and Execution

 

 

• Develop and execute risk-based audit plans aligned with company goals across operations like abattoirs, feedlots, and logistics.

• Conduct audits, gather evidence, and identify control gaps and risks, recommending practical improvements.

 

 

Risk Management and Control

 

 

• Evaluate internal controls and risk mitigation across business units.

• Track and assess the implementation of corrective actions and promote risk-awareness initiatives.

 

 

Reporting

 

 

• Prepare clear, concise audit reports highlighting findings, root causes, risks, and recommendations.

• Present audit results to management and the Audit & Risk Committee.

• Maintain a robust audit tracking system for recommendations and follow-ups.

 

 

Advisory and Continuous Improvement

 

 

• Advise management on process improvements, internal controls, and participate in investigations.

• Support policy reviews, system changes, and drive operational best practices.
