Inspector – Border Control and Inland
The Namibian Agronomic Board (NAB) is a statutory body that is governed by the Agronomic Industry Act. Act no: 20 of 1992. It is mandated to promote the Agronomic industry and to facilitate the production, processing, storage and marketing of controlled products in Namibia. The NAB is looking for suitable and competent candidates for the above-mentioned position.
Reporting to Senior / Chief Inspector: Border Control Inspectorate
Duty Station: Ariamsvlei Border
Responsibilities:
- Assure that all consignments of controlled agronomic and horticultural Products are accompanied by the required relevant documents before leaving the borders.
- Ensure the verification of all relevant documents such as export. Import, in transit. Phytosanitary certificate, and Certificate of Conformity for Agronomic standards requirements as well as Market share promotion monitoring are done by border inspectors.
- Facilitate the collection of import and export levies on Agronomic Produce.
- Seize and remove any controlled products in contravention of rules and regulations.
- Inspect and verify any suspicious controlled products at the border.
