PURPOSE

To plan and take control over all building / construction related inspections work/ planning to ensure that Notational Building Regulations are met. Oversees functions of building maintenance. water networks and sewerage to ensure provision of municipality services as per Council objectives

DUTY STATION: Gobabis Municipality

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Manages end oversees water networks maintenance end repairs
• Manages the building  maintenance  and repairs
• Oversees construction and renovation of projects
• Plans and monitors the maintenance at road grading of gravel roads, fixing of potholes on tarred roads and replacement and maintenance of street names. road signs and other road markings
• Manages and oversees sewerage maintenance and repairs
• Supervises are inspection of building construction
• Supervises infrastructure development projects

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification on NQF Level 7
• 3 years’ experience in relevant  said of work of which 2 years must be in a supervisory position
• Valid Cod B drivers license
• Good communication skills
