You typically need a Grade 12 certificate with passes in English and Mathematics, plus a relevant diploma or degree in Public Administration, Law, or Police Science from a recognized Namibian institution. Some positions may require completion of the Basic Police Training Course at the Namibian Police Training College. Previous experience in border control, law enforcement, or civil service is often advantageous.

You will process visa and permit applications, inspect travel documents at ports of entry, enforce immigration laws, and assist with deportation proceedings when necessary. The role involves both desk work and field operations, including patrols at border posts like Noordoewer or Katima Mulilo. You must maintain detailed records and collaborate with other government agencies on security matters.
