The Challenge
Namdeb (Pty) Ltd is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Interns to join our dynamic Human Resources team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in Human Resources, specifically the Services function. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment and the chance to contribute to impactful activities that align with Namdeb’s strategic objectives and goals.
Qualifications
The Ideal Applicant
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field with a keen interest to specialize in HR Systems and Analytics.
- Strong written, verbal communication skills and familiarity with report writing.
- Valid Code 08/ B driver’s license (manual transmission).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
- Basic understanding of people analytics in Human Resources.
- Good numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Keen to keep abreast with emerging technologies to enhance data quality.
- Agility to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Maintains high ethical standards and professionalism.
- Ability to operate basic software tools like operating systems.

Job Specific Competencies
- Extracting data and develop monthly HR reports.
- Enters approved changes into the HR system.
- Generates and Issues letters and contracts.
- Maintains the HR section on the intranet.
- Assists with the overall maintenance including auditing of the Namdeb HR Systems.
- Supports in introducing new processes concepts and system enhancements, involving IT Shared Services and other stakeholders.
- Supports in maintaining Leave, Master Data, Org Management and HR Cost Planning on the HR system.
- Collaborate with external partners to perform specific configuration and testing tasks to ensure effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR Services Team
- Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills that support building relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
