Human Resources Manager | Welwitschia Hospital
Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full-cycle human resources support to Welwitschia Hospital. The role is critical in executing the company’s people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving human resource excellence and process improvement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve on the Management Committee of Welwitschia Hospital
- Collaborate with the Group HR Manager to implement and drive initiatives locally.
- Support the daily human resources operations, including Payroll, Recruitment, Selection, Placement, Onboarding, Training and Development, Employee and Industrial Relations, Organisational Development and Employee Engagement and Wellness.
- Manage the Manpower planning, Career and Succession planning, Remuneration and Retention, Talent -, and Performance Management portfolios.
- Contribute to and drive the delivery of the human resources strategy in line with strategic business objectives.
- Report on Welwitschia Hospital and Erongo Radiology’s annual human capital activity and performance to key internal and external stakeholders.
- Measure all human resources costs and control expenditure against agreed budgets.
- Advise, guide, and support the managers and employees in all human resource matters in accordance with company values, policies, and procedures.
- Lead, coach and develop the human resources department.
- Provide ad hoc human capital consulting services to key partner clients.
Minimum Requirements
- An Honours’s degree in Industrial Psychology or Human Resource Management from an internationally accredited university.
- A Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management and Administration from an internationally accredited university will be an advantage.
- A resume that shows steady progression in human resource management for the last 6 years.
- Prior experience in a similar role and the health care industry may be an advantage.

- A strong solutions-focus with the ability to proactively identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
- A true hands-on approach to successfully monitor the “pulse” of the employees and ensure a high level of performance and employee engagement.
- The ability to be comfortable with a high-volume workload, managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and not being afraid to “roll up your sleeves”.
- An inclination for impartiality, strong work ethic, and desire to foster a positive culture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent understanding of human resource best practices and the Namibian labour legislation.
