Job brief
We are looking for an energetic Human Resources Administrator to take responsibility of all HR related functions within the group of companies. You will be the one to ensure that HR projects and tasks are well planned and passionately executed. The goal is to ensure that HR development efforts boost employee confidence and commitment, and to continue building on the existing trust relationship between the company and its employees.
The successful candidate must have great enthusiasm for all things related to the position, and have thorough knowledge of the Labour Act of Namibia, as well as relevant techniques and principles within the field of human resources.
Responsibilities and Purpose of the position
• Preparation and submission of monthly payroll.
• Management and maintenance of staff deductions and leave applications.
• Management and administration of payments to the Receiver of Revenue (PAYE, ITAS, etc), Social Security, Medical Aid, Pension Fund and other service providers.
• Plan, schedule and conduct performance appraisals.
• Arrange and facilitate disciplinary hearings.
• Manage and execute recruitment processes.
• Manage and maintain employee files, uniform registers, etc.
• Arrange and facilitate training, service awards and staff recognition events.
• Facilitate/prepare and ensure statutory compliance such as AA Reporting, Health & Safety screening, etc.
• Reports to the Managing Director.
Requirements: Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
• Tersiary qualification in Human Resouces Administration or equivalent certification.
• At least 3 years’ experience working as a Human Resources Administrator/Generalist.
• Computer literate and confident with Payroll Systems, MS Excel and standard office suites.
• Accounting experience and knowledge of the tourism industry will be an advantage.
• Firm grasp and understanding of employment contracts as well as its legal and commercial application.
• High written- and verbal proficiency in both English and Afrikaans.

• Must have an aptitude for detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to work independantly and in a team environment.
