Job Title: Human Resource Practitioner
Grade: Patterson Grade C4
Department: Corporate Affairs & HR
Reporting SE: Corporate Affairs & HR
Salary Scale: 261,328 – 271,885
Housing Allowance: 20% of Basic Salary (if not owning a house)
Housing Subsidy: 40% of Basic Salary (if owning a housing bond)
Contribution: 21.7% of Basic Salary (PM) Council Medical Aia Contribution: 85% Bonus: 13th Cheque

Main Purpose of the Position:

To manage the Human Resources Division within the Town Council at a management level in order to optimally achieve the Staffing & Employee Benefits, Employee Relations and Training & Organisational Development functions. To guide & support and advise the Management and Council in the effective management of the human capital to derive optimal cost/benefits from the human inputs.

Key Responsibilities:

– Human Resource Policies and Procedures
– Organizational Development & Effectiveness
– Staffing and Manpower Planning
– Payroll and Remuneration Systems
– Employee Relations
– HR Administration statutory requirements and Divisional Management.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 Certificate (25 points) plus B Degree NQF 7 in Human Resource Management. Should have at least 5 years in a human resources management environment at a senior management or 3 years should have been spent on a resource management level.
