We are looking for a HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER to join our tribe!

This position will be responsible for the payroll of the company as well as general HR functions. The position is in Windhoek based at our headquarters.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Responsible for the preparation and payment of payroll for the company
o Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll
o Responsible for the creating of 3rd party reports, payment, and sending of proof of payments to the relevant parties
o Ensuring that all employee records are kept up to date according to policy and legal requirements, this includes leave records
o Responsible for all registration, termination, and claims with the Social Security Commission
o Responsible for adding and terminating all employees on Payscale
o Deal with complaints and questions regarding payroll from employees
o Assist with general HR duties, initiatives, and systems
o Assist HR Manager with a monthly newsletter
o Assist HR Manager with any other administration tasks

Requirements:
o Must be a Namibian citizen or permanent resident.
o Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (including booster).
o At least 3 years experience as a payroll clerk or similar position.
o Hospitality experience would be of advantage.
o Excellent financial administration and accurate record keeping.
o Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of Payscale and/or Pastel would be considered an advantage.
o Excellent spoken and written English.
o Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, good communication skills and outstanding time management abilities.
o Strong ethics and reliability as well as confidentiality.
