VACANCY
POSITION: HUMAN CAPITAL & CORPORATE SERVICES
DUTY STATION: HEAD OFFICE
PATTERSON GRADE: E1
The incumbent report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Purpose of the Job
To develop and implement a HR Strategy that optimizes human capital for the achievement of CENORED’s corporate strategic goals. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring legal compliance, stakeholder engagement, corporate communication, information technology and general administration of the Corporate Services Department of CENORED.
Key Performance Areas of the position are, inter alia:
- Human Resources strategic direction and strategic input at corporate level.
- Develop, review and implement HR Policies and procedure in line with relevant laws.
- Responsible for HR planning, recruitment and selection.
- Manage the CENORED remuneration and reward system.
- Manage CENORED’s general administration and IT systems.
- Training & staff development strategies, policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance to Safety, Health and Environment regulations and requirements.
- Industrial relations, employee wellness and workplace harmony.
- Manage and monitor the implementation of the performance management system.
- Manage and control the operational and capital budgets of the Corporate Services Department.
- Manage the optimal control and utilisation of CENORED vehicle fleet.
Minimum Requirements of the position:
- An Honours degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology or any Relevant Qualifications.
- Eight (8) years relevant experience in the HR field, of which Five (5) years must have been at the managerial level.
- In depth knowledge and understanding of the Namibian labour market, labour legislation and business environment.
- Knowledge and experience in the Namibian mining or electricity sectors would be an added advantage
The incumbent must possess the following competencies:
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- The ability to communicate and interact at the highest board and political levels.
- Superior analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills.
- Customer service orientated.
- Ability to operate in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary company environment.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
