Job Title: Senior HSE Officer Required

Number of positions: (1) | Internal/External

 

 

Division: Mining (Husab site)

 

 

Purpose of the Job: A Senior HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. This involves developing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of a company’s health, safety, and environmental programs.

 

 

Key Performance Areas:

 

 

Safety Protocols Monitoring and Maintenance Effectiveness.

 

 

• • • Ensures that the Company is complying and adheres to all Safety guidelines to reduce work-related injuries.

    • Ensure compliance with all Safety legislation in relation to equipment, machinery and workplace activities.

    • Inspects sites for Hazards and makes sure that all areas are compliant.

    • Maintains excellent working relationship with Beifang personnel as well as external suppliers and contractors.

    • Maintains an active and effective working relationship with all departmental HOD and line management team members at Beifang.

    • Works with HR to set up new employees to undergo on-boarding process for Safety.

 

 

Safety and General Administration Effectiveness.

 

 

Updates existing Safety policies and procedures

 

 

Co-worker Effectiveness.

 

 

Works effectively with others as a member of a team.

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

 

• • Qualifications: Grade 12 certificate, Code B driver’s license is compulsory, SAMTRAC or Certificate / Qualification or Diploma in Safety Management

  • Experience: At least 7 years’ experience as a safety related or similar role

  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
