Purpose of the Job

• The HR Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operational HR functions, ensuring effective implementation of HR strategies, policies, and procedures that support business objectives. The role requires an individual with strong communication skills, meticulous attention to employee relations, and HR compliance. The HR Superintendent will act as a key link between management and employees, providing guidance on HR best practices and ensuring alignment with labour laws, company policies and strategic goals.

Minimum Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Industrial Psychology, or Business Administration or related field.
(Postgraduate qualification will be added advantage)
• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in a middle or senior level HRIR role within a large, complex, and preferably unionized environment
• Technical Knowledge: Advanced understanding of HR systems (HRIS, payroll systems)
• Strong knowledge of labour laws, employment equity, and HR compliance frameworks.
• Proven track record in managing employee relations and negotiations.
• Experience in mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry sector will be added advantage.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel if required.
