OTESA IS CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF FILLING THE FOLLOWING VACANCIES:
General description of the position
Human resources and industrial relations officers neip to improve the working environment within an organisation. This role involves assisting with recruitment, training, and the implementation of policies. HR/ IR support to the HR team and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices, the incumbent win work under the supervision of the HR manager to provide administrative support to the HR department.
Key performance areas:
• Use discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Advise HR manager on all matters that involve conflict between employees.
• Work with management on the staff evaluatton process and receive and file evaluations from department supervisors.
• Assist in the development of HR. IR. and ER labour protocols, operating procedures, and handbook.
• Where necessary support the HR Manager on any Labour court referrals.
• Post job advertisements to job boards, social media, and newspaper platforms, and remove advertisements once vacancies have been filled.
• Updating company databases by inputting new employees’ contact information and employment details.
• Screening potential employees’ resumes and application forms to identify suitable candtoates to fill company job vacancies
• Organizing interviews with shortlisted candidates.
• Assist the HR Manager in gathering market salary informatton.
• Preparing and sending rejection letters or emails to candidates.
• Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.
• Assist in the organization and induction of new staff on the code of conduct. HR and IR protocols, and operating procedures.
• Assist with the process of Exit interviews
• Filing of all HR Documents
• Ad hoc admin assistance to the wider HR team.
Minimum requirements:
• Degree in Industrial Relations/ Diploma in Human Resource Management
• 3 years’ experience in HR/ IR Admimstratton.
• Sound knowledge of Namtoian Labour legislation.
