Overall responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring the implementation and enforcement of the National Heritage Act. managing the heritage protection and conservation processes, and regulate the development and sustainable utilisation of heritage resources. In addition, the incumbent has the responsibility of ensuring management of heritage resources and providing for miscellaneous matters.
Qualification requirements:
Minimum requirements: B. Degree (NQF Level 7) in one or more of the following fields, Heritage
Conservation, Heritage Management, Archaeology, Anthropology, Palaeontology or History
Added advantage: A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
Minimum period of experience: 9 years job related experience of which at least 5 years are/were at a supervisory level
