Helpdesk Technician (Customer Service Representative) FSN-O7

Under the direct supervision of the Information Systems Manager, the Help Desk Technician (Customer Service Representative) is responsible for providing first-level support for software, hardware, and network assistance to Embassy Windhoek’s unclassified OpenNet and Dedicate lnternet Network activities. Relies on technical expertise, knowledge database, and pre-established guidelines to resolve help requests. Documents, tracks, and monitors tickets to ensure a timely resolution and customer satisfaction. The incumbent will support unclassified IT services, including workstations, laptops, network connectivity, applications, digital conferencing systems, remote access solutions, online software, peripheral devices, smart mobile devices, and others. In addition, the Help Desk Technician conducts administrative, training, and quality improvement duties and provides backup support to Mobile Computing/Switchboard and Mailroom operations.
