Key Responsibilities
- Providing 1st line support on: Workstations and laptop, Network (LAN) issues, Printer, copiers and fax machines, MS Office and other basic application support
- Assign calls to the technical staff: Follow up on assigned calls, Escalate calls not resolved within a specific time, Log calls with 3rd party support staff/companies
- Stock management: Keep record of all IT related equipment, Follow up on equipment that needs to be courier, Make sure enough backup stock is available
- User profiles: Create, modify and remove user profiles for different systems, Create, modify and remove email accounts
- Office Administration: Obtain quotes, Follow up on orders & ETAs, Creating and updating user and technical manuals
Requirements
- Namibian citizenship
- Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12 (Old Curriculum)
- A relevant A+ and N+ qualification
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Helpdesk Officer is required
- Computer literacy (MS Office package)
- An understanding of the principles of networking and internet technologies
- Basic technical knowledge of PCs, laptops, printers, fax machines, telephone systems (PABX, Switchboard)
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Valid Code B Drivers License
