SUBDIVISION: EMERGENCY PREPARDNESS AND RESPONSE

Post Designation:  Health Program Officer Grade 6

2x Posts:    Windhoek (Head Office)

Salary Scale:  N$ 328,139 -N$ 392,158

Housing Allowance  :  N$ 13,080 per annum

Transport Allowance : N$ 7,680 per annum

Minimum Requirements: A B-Degree or equivalent qualification on NQF L 7 plus five (5) years appropriate experience as a Public Health Program Officer or in health emergency/outbreak response .

Additional Requirements: The candidate must have a B-Degree in health-related field such as Epidemiology, Public Health, Nursing Science, Environmental Health Science and Laboratory  Science. The candidate should  have basic understanding on Disease

Surveillance  systems    and   outbreak    response   activities, Strategy Planning, Resources

Management, Report Writing Skills, Monitoring and Evaluation and Leadership. Good knowledge on data management and working knowledge on research methodologies. Knowledge to analyse large data sets, using statistical packages (Epi info, STATA, Access, SPSS, Python, DHIS2 etc.) will be an added advantage.
