The MVA Fund is a statutory body established to design, develop, promote and implement motor vehicle accident and
injury prevention measures. The Fund provides assistance and benefits to all people injured, and the dependents of those
killed, in motor vehicle accidents, in accordance with the MVA Fund Act, Act 10 of 2007.
HEAD: RISK AND COMPLIANCE (PATTERSON JOB GRA
The MVA Fund invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced and competent persons to join its workforce in the following position:
Position: Head: Risk and Compliance (Patterson Job Grade D1)
Duty Station: MVA Fund Service Centre: Windhoek
Purpose of this Position: To assist the Fund in identifying, analysing and documenting the risks associated with its operations, and to ensure that the risk management framework, compliance management and policies are effectively implemented and applied.
Key Performance Areas:
- Design and implement an overall risk management process for the organisation
- Perform a risk assessment by analysing current risk and identifying potential risks that are affecting the institution
- Perform a risk evaluation
- Establish the level of risk the institution is willing to take
- Create business continuity plans to limit risks
- Conduct policy and compliance audits which will include liaising with internal and external auditors
- Build risk awareness among staff by providing support and training within the institution
Competencies and Skills Requirements
- Com degree in Finance-related field, Auditing, Risk Management or equivalent
- Qualification in Compliance Risk Management (CRM) practices or International Risk Management (IRM) will be an added advantage
- Minimum three (3) years working experience in a Risk Management environment
- Analytical and detail oriented
- Planning and organizing skills
- Ability to understand broader business issues
- Communication and presentation skills
