To plan, direct and design NIP’s IT infrastructure inclusive of network, compute, storage, virtualization, disaster recovery and security while simultaneously managing the IT team responsible for maintaining the infrastructure, provide effective and efficient IT systems, network, and security support to all employees at NIP Ltd. He/she is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. To manage systems through monitoring, rectification and problem-solving activities and generally support the system through training and coaching of users on operational systems tasks where required. To generally ensure that systems responsible for meet both the operational as well as the development requirements of the applicable user applications areas and that NIP’s benefit from the system is optimized while risk or potential negative impact is minimized or contained.

Accredited Bachelor Degree in IT (e.g. Bachelor of Information Technology: Systems Admin &Networking) plus industry certification and industry certification an at least 6 years of relevant experience . 

Code B driver’s license
6 years experience within an IT environment, of which at least 3 years should have been in a supervisory role.

The incumbent must have in depth technical experience in the following areas:
•Microsoft Window and Linux Operating Systems
•Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange Servers
•Networking technologies and concepts
•Hyperconverged infrastructure and server virtualization
•Unified threat management platform and software
•Cybersecurity frameworks
•Data protection using backup and disaster recovery solutions
•Good understanding of cloud technologies
