HEAD GUIDE / TRAINER – JOBS NAMIBIA

DESCRIPTION

A group of upmarket Camps in Namibia are currently in search of a HEAD GUIDE / TRAINER to lead their Guiding Team

Main duties would consist of training the team with regards to trails and rifle handling and developing activities on the reserve. Head guide will be expected to take guest on game drives half of the working cycle and training the other half. Also to stand in every 3 weeks for Safari Co-ordinator and allocate guest to guides, and vehicle maintenance.

This role will also be the main communication between Conservations department and getting guest involved with evening talks regarding different research topics as well as working closely with the APU unit.

Requirements
•FGASA Level 2 (Preference will be given to FGASA 3)
•Full Lead Trails and at least 3 years’ experience with guiding on foot (VPSA, ARH)
•Tracking & Trail certificate preferred
•Minimum of 7 years working on a Big 5 Game reserve
•Minimum 5 years working at Ultra luxury lodges, minimum 5 star
•Valid PdP
•Valid Wilderness First Aid
•Contactable references of at least 3 managers

Salary – N$30 000pm / full live-in / pension fund contribution
