HEAD CHEF

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Responsible for creating high qualify appetizing dishes for diners to enjoy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITY

• Create menu items, recipes and develop dishes ensuring variety and quality.
• Prepare high-quality dishes.
• Control and direct the food preparation process.
• Approve and polish dishes before they reach guest.
• Prepare and ensure meals are prepared timeously.
• Run and organize the kitchen.
• Stock controlling including ordering and rotation.
• Ensure the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism/ Culinary or equivalent
• At least three (3) years relevant experience in similar position in a lodge or hotel
• Flexibility and able to work well under pressure
• Knowledge of local and international cuisines
