HEAD CHEF

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Responsible for creating high qualify appetizing dishes for diners to enjoy.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITY

Create menu items, recipes and develop dishes ensuring variety and quality.
Prepare high-quality dishes.
Control and direct the food preparation process.
Approve and polish dishes before they reach guest.
Prepare and ensure meals are prepared timeously.
Run and organize the kitchen.
Stock controlling including ordering and rotation.
Ensure the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism/ Culinary or equivalent
At least three (3) years relevant experience in similar position in a lodge or hotel
Flexibility and able to work well under pressure
Knowledge of local and international cuisines
