SOCIAL SECURITY COMMISSION, DEPARTMENT: INFORMATION, COMMUNICATION AND TECHNOLOGY. Job Title: HEAD BUSINESS SYSTEMS (PATERSON JOB GRADE D2). Primary Purpose of the Position: To ensure effective and efficient provision of business software solutions and professional support services in business applications development, database administration and maintenance to meet the Commissions strategic objectives.

Requirements
- 4-year Degree in Computer Science, Business Computing or Software Engineering from a recognised institution
- 5 years proven experience in systems development, 3 of which must be in implementing and interfacing major enterprise business solutions and at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills
- Knowledge and exposure to software analysis, design and implementation tools, development language (like 4GL, OOL and other computer languages)
- Ability to harness and consolidate team resources
- Conflict resolution skills
- Team player
- Ability to articulate project methodology concepts
- Confidentiality
- Mentorship skills
- Valid Code B Drivers license
