GUIDE MANAGER & TRAINER – Ongava Game Reserve 494 views

Vacant Position: Guide Manager and Trainer
The Guide Manager is responsible for the guided Safari experience in its entirety on Ongava Game Reserve. The responsibilities include but are not limited to, training and assessing of all guides to FGASA/ AFGA standards, training of all guides to recognized advanced rifle handling standards, coordinating and management of the guiding team and the safari activities experience on Ongava Game Reserve.

Requirements for the position:
⦁ Accredited FGASA/AFGA Trainer and Assessor.
⦁ FGASA Professional Field Guide level certified.
⦁ FGASA Professional Trails Guide certified.
⦁ FGASA Advanced Rifle Handling or equivalent.
⦁ At least 5 years’ experience as a field guide at a five-star safari destination with demonstrable experience with dangerous game/wildlife.
⦁ Experience in management and/or business management is required.
⦁ Excellent word processing and IT skills, including knowledge of a range of software packages and social media platforms.
⦁ Advanced photography skills.
⦁ Fluent in English, additional languages would be advantageous.
⦁ Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
⦁ Outstanding interpersonal skills and proven ability to teach/train.
⦁ Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
⦁ The ability to research, digest, analyze and present material clearly and concisely.
⦁ Have a valid driver’s license and PDP.
⦁ Must have valid First Aid Certificates, preferably Advanced First Aid.
⦁ Namibian citizen/ Domicile/ Work Permit/Permanent Resident.
