GROUP COORDINATOR
An exciting and challenging opportunity H available for a Group Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be based at the Naankuse Wildlife Sanctuary, 45km from Windhoek.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Being the main point of contact for any scheduled groups during their visit, traveling with the group to different Naankuse managed properties as required
⦁ Assist with the creation of schedules and itineraries for groups before their arrival
Assist with the successful running of the volunteer program, by coordinating groups of volunteers of different nationalities, ages, and skill levels
Assist with captive care of the sanctuary animals and record keeping
Conduct research within the property to assist with reserve management decisions or to obtain data required as part of current research goals
Assist In giving educational presentations
⦁ Any other tasks that may be reasonably expected
Requirements:
An FGASA qualification or any level or proof of advanced study in ecology, conservation or zoology at a minimum diploma level
⦁ 2+ years of proven experience of being employed as a field guide or tour guide on a reserve
⦁ Must be friendly, have a positive demeanor and be an excellent team player
⦁ Willingness to live and work in remote areas
⦁ Able to work long hours and be able to work under pressure
Able to undertake physical work in the sun
⦁ Being a holder of a valid driver’s license and a POP
Must be fluent in English, and have excellent written-, oral- and interpersonal skills
⦁ Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with international guests of various ages and nationalities
⦁ Must be computer literate and experienced in using MS Office programs
Must be excellent at time management and have experience in the logistical management of small teams/groups of people
Proven experience as a horse rider is highly advantageous
Start Date: 15 April 2023
Remuneration:
⦁ A salary in line with the experience and qualifications of the applicant
Meals and accommodation when the candidate is at the N/a’an Ku Se Wildlife Sanctuary
Membership of the Naankuse Medical Aid Group at own cost
