Key Responsibilities
- directing and controlling the financial planning, financial management, financial accounting and board reporting functions
- ensuring that value added and professional financial management and accounting policies, practices, systems and solutions are developed, implemented and controlled in support of strategic objectives and in compliance with International Financial Accounting and Reporting Standards and statutory regulations
- directing and controlling the administration division
- ensuring that procurement policies, best practices and service level agreements are established, monitored and maintained for optimal cost, process and quality efficiency
Requirements
- The successful candidate must hold a relevant post-graduate qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field, any professional qualification will be an added advantage and must have completed articles with a reputable audit or accounting firm.
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in Financial Accounting or management reporting is required, including at least three (3) years in a managerial role.
- The ideal candidate must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of IAS and IFRS, as well as Taxation rules and regulations. Computer literacy (MS Office), Leadership, Networking, Communication, Time and Project Management skills are essential.
