GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN – SNK Printing & Manufacturing

Most employers expect a diploma or degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field from a recognized Namibian institution, or equivalent coursework. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and a portfolio showcasing your work are usually required.

Interns typically assist senior designers by creating social media graphics, preparing print layouts, and editing photos according to brand guidelines. They may also participate in brainstorming sessions, file management, and learn about prepress processes used in Namibian printing companies.

Namibian workplaces value punctuality, respect for hierarchy, and a collaborative attitude, so interns are expected to arrive on time, communicate clearly, and show willingness to learn from mentors. Demonstrating initiative while being open to feedback is highly regarded, especially in smaller firms where teamwork is essential.

After completing an internship, many designers move into junior graphic designer roles, gaining responsibility for independent projects and client interactions. With experience and a strong portfolio, progression to senior designer, art director, or specialized roles such as UI/UX or motion graphics is possible within Namibian agencies or in-house teams.
