GRADUATE MINING ENGINEER (INTERN)

Key areas of responsibility:
• Conduct technical studies on site.
• Provide Technical and design inputs to the Mining Department
• Ensure achievement of daily and monthly targets in order to meet business requirements.
• Communicate with stakeholders and determine needs and explain complex issues.
• Conduct site inspections and
• Daily/weekly/monthly production reporting.
• Assist with mine surveying and mine dewatering systems.
• follow safety regulations set forth by the company and legislative safety requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifying requirements:
• Be in possession of a recognized tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
• Be familiar with the technical aspects of mining operations, equipment, and technology.
• Knowledge of health and safety issues related to mining.
• Be an excellent problem-solver and be able to manage crises when they arise.
• Can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Function within a teamwork dynamic.
• Can work within both outdoor/field and office environments.
• Be computer literate.
• Must have sound communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be in possession of a driver’s license.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access
