General Manager: Operations
Opportunity | Duty Description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The incumbent in this position is responsible for operational strategic planning of all hotels and lodges, execution, evaluation and controlling of such plans. The position will give support to all hotels and lodges as well as central office functions linked to operations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES
• Bachelor degree in Hotel Management/Travel & Tourism/ MBA or Any relevant postgraduate qualification
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Hotel/Lodge industry (at least 5 years’ experience as a Hotel/Lodge General Manager)
• 5 years minimum experience as a Hotel Operations Manager in a 4/5 star hotel
• Knowledge of hotel management systems (MS office, Micros, MC and OPERA)
• Solid experience in and sound understanding of ALL aspects of hotel management/operations
• Valid driving license

• Provide leadership to the management team which is consistent with the O&L group purpose and values. Motivate the team at all times and create the best employment experience for them.
• Drive the hosting and experiential culture within the team.
• Strategic planning and execution
• Effective management of Rooms division key financial indicators & Food and Beverage Prime cost
• Designing and implementation of operating processes and standards
• Quality Assurance and Risk Management
• Budgeting, controlling and reporting
• Product development and project Management
• Revenue Management
• Conduct business performance reviews for all hotels and lodges
