GENERAL MANAGER-Kaap Agri Namibia

Kaap Agri Namibia is an established agricultural service group that does business with more than 20
service points across Namibia. With the head office situated in Windhoek, Kaap Agri Namibia provides an
array of products and services to a diverse customer base that include agricultural producers, businesses
and the general public. The Company has the above-mentioned position available which will be stationed
in Windhoek and reports to the Managing Director.
This position will run concurrently internal and external.
Purpose of the Position:
Tasked to oversee daily business activities, improving overall business functions, improve efficiency and increase
profits while ensuring trained head of departments, managing budgets, developing strategic plans, creating policies
and communicating business goals.
Candidate Profile:
 A Bachelor of Commerce degree in any of the following:
 Accounting
 Commerce
 Wholesale
 Retail
 Business Management
 Marketing and Sales
 6 years management experience in the Agri Retail environment.
 Strong Interpersonal skills to build lasting client relationships.
 Strong numerical and analytical skills.
 Proven experience of the agriSmart system, as well as strong computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel
will also be an advantage.
 Proven experience in project management to assist with the development in new business opportunities.
 Proven experience in resource management including human resources.

 Effective stock management (return on capital)
 Optimal application of capital with regard to budget.
 Effective implementation and execution of approved projects.
 Effective implementation of the overall strategy of the Company.
 Cost and margin management.
 Facilitate and Manage the Company’s budgeting process.
 Development and implementation of effective marketing strategies (to increase market share)
 Effective management of risks.
 Effective management of resources including human resources.
