General Manager: Information Technology based in Walvis Bay

The Manica Group has an opportunity for an experienced General Manager: Information Technology, reporting to the Financial Director.

Duties:

Lead the IT operational and strategic planning. Benchmark, analyse, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of IT systems. Manage staff, financial aspects, policies, procedures, suppliers, service agreements, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems and hardware. Research potential technology solutions. Asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.

Required:

• Degree in computer science and 10 years related work experience.
• Master of Business Administration with technology as core component preferred.
• Certifications in IT service management, systems development life cycle and project management frameworks.
• Strong technical knowledge of network and operating systems.
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
• Strong understanding of human resource and project management.
