The NovaNam Group of Companies with its main operations based in Luderitz requires the services of a person to fill the position of GM: Human Resources & Corporate Relations at its Corporate Head Office in Walvis Bay, with direct oversight to Luderitz.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
• A Master’s Degree will serve as an advantage
• Seven (7) years appropriate work experience in a relevant position.
• Strong background in Human Resources administration.
• Knowledge and experience in HR policy formulation.
• Basic acumen of a unionized environment
• Thorough knowledge of the HR legislative framework (Labour Act. AA Act. ECF & WCA. SSC Act. NTA. Income Tax Act.)
• Experience in the fishing Industry would be an advantage

Key functions and responsibilities include:

• Provide support to management on all HR related matters.
• Develop and implement of all HR policies.
• Manage the payroll, personnel & HR Administrative functions.
• Oversee of the overall workplace discipline.
• Manage the Recruitment and Selection function.
• Manage the training and development function.
• Manage and implement the company Organisational Development initiatives.
• Manage and oversee all negotiations with the unions.
• Trace, develop, implement and maintain internal and external communication to enhance the company’s reputation.
• Manage the Corporate Social Responsibility function of the Group.
