GENERAL MANAGER – Auob Country Lodge 159 views

VACANCY:

We are looking for a passionate, conscientious, and determined General Manager to be responsible for all aspects of operations at Auob Country Lodge and provide a professional, calm, and pleasant experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

⦁ Work closely with all departments for the successful management and operations of the lodge
⦁ Ensuring that all daily operating systems in each department are in place
⦁ Collaborate with Managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses.
⦁ Review employer performance and conduct personnel actions such as disciplinary actions and terminations of employment when necessary.
⦁ Hold regular briefings and meetings with all heads of departments.
⦁ Handling complaints and overseeing the service recovery procedures.
⦁ Manage the ongoing profitability of the lodge, by ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.
⦁ Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for Rooms. Fooa & Beverage, Admin & General, arc on target and accurate.
⦁ Assist in the procurement of operating supplies and equipment and contracting with third-party vendors for essential equipment and services.
⦁ Coord nation with HOD’s for the execution of all activities and functions.
⦁ Bp accountable to ensure that procedures regarding the Occupational Health ft Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements are in place.

REQUIREMENTS: TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

⦁ Proven experience as Manager, or similar role.
⦁ Good understanding of hospitality operations, and statistical and data analysis methods.
⦁ Excellent knowledge of MS Office,
⦁ Thorough understanding of Lodge Operations.
⦁ Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
⦁ Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing), fluent m English and Afrikaans (German will be an advantage).
⦁ Be innovative and creative with commercial awareness.
⦁ Tertiary training in Hospitality or relevant field.
⦁ Valid driver’s license – Code B (minimum).
⦁ Knowledge of Innkeeper (reservations & customer relations software) will be an advantage.
