GENERAL LABOURERS (PARKS & GARDENS)

POSITION: 2 X GENERAL LABOURERS: A2 (PARKS & GARDENS)

PURPOSE: To provide support to Foreman Parks & Gardens in carrying out ati activities related to tending the municipal gardens, cleaning and maintaining parks, cemeteries, sport and recreational facilities and the general up keep of street trees and traffic islands

REPORTING LINE: Foreman Parks & Gardens

DUTY STATION: Gobabis Municipality

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Provides cleaning and watering services at parks, gardens, cemeteries, recreational facilities and community halls
• Numbering, digging and covering of graves
• Cutting and chemical treatment of unwanted trees on municipal and private land if requested by the property owner
• Cuts and controls wild grasses along Gobabis main roads. intersections, traffic islands and municipal sidewalks
• Controls and pounding of animals poultry and doves in residential areas as wall as exotic animals that are kept as domestic pets
